About
In November 2008 I decided that 2009 was going to be the year in which I’d sort out my fitness and lose some weight. So I set about researching how to lose weight as quickly, healthily and easily as possible. I quickly found that there are thousands of books, magazines and websites detailing how to get lose weight. I’ve been reading many of them and I’m shocked at how many are incorrect, offer bad advice or just repeat common myths that scientists have proved to be wrong.
So this blog is my attempt, to document and synthesize the good information that I find in a way that is suitable for the everyday person that’s just trying to get a little fitter and lose some weight as quickly as possible (that’s you and me). Where possible I’ll link the information to related scientific studies in the hope that this site will help remove some of the mystery and dispel some of the myths surrounding losing weight.
I’ll also share my own weight loss story, documenting what works for me and the practical weight loss tips that I develop as I apply my research on quick weight loss to my own lifestyle.
If you’ve got a story or question about losing weight, or you’d like to let me know about a new piece of research, article or book that I should read please contact me.
